Biography

Strange Dust is a Twin Cities, Minnesota-based producer and music collector. Beginning as a child in the mid 2000s, he emerged into the public sphere in 2013 to form the group Glow Mechanics, known for their underground hip-hop style. He was initially known as Something Legitimate, then Es El, finally settling on Strange Dust for the release of 2003 and Glow Mechanics’ Butcher’s Block album. He is also recognized for producing several tracks for Canadian vocalist Mimo, including the breakout single “An Introduction” released in 2022. Dustin also has a series of remixes on Youtube and SoundCloud.
